I wanted to set up a HTPC or at least a PVR. Arcsoft Total Media came with one of the USB sticks and worked fine for a week, then refused to access the tuners. </p><p></p><p>I really liked the look of MediaPortal. I read the documentation, downloaded and installed MP. The installation failed with the message that mscvcr.dll wasnot installed.
