Just installed MP 0.2 on a brand-new installation of XP with all updates installed. Have also installed dot net framework 1.1 (SP1) and 2.0

MP seemed to install OK but when I try to run either MP or MP setup, I get a dialog box with this error message.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
configuration.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk\DR3

Try again Cancel Ignore
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The error message will not go away. Pressing "Try again", "Ignore" or "Cancel" all cause it to disappear for a fraction of a second and then re-appear again.

Any ideas ?

Has the mediaportal folder appeared on your c: drive, or have you tried to install to a network.
Have you changed names of any of the drives since installation.
    Can you uninstall MP.

    more info please.

Windows and program files is on drive H:

Windows allocated it this name because the card-reader adds virtual drives, and these were allocated first (C, D, E, F and G)

As far as I know it is not possible to re-name a drive with Windows on it.

I copied the zip from a USB drive to a folder on the desktop, unzipped it and installed from there. I did not delete this folder or anything.

I tried un-installing and re-installing MP. The un-install worked fine but after re-installing the same problem recurred.

And yes, the Team-MediaPortal folders appeared as they should under H:\Program Files|...
