decided to start my own thread as I did respond in this one here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...diaportal-responding-tv-remote-signals-53216/

Using a Hauppage 45 button remote. All buttons work in Mediaportal. However.........

MP is picking up when I press certain buttons on the remotes of my Samsung TV and Cambridge Audio A/V receiver
(These devices do not respond to buttons on the hauppage remote)

Samsung remote - several of the buttons correspond to the "pause" function on MP.
Cambidge audio - remote several buttons correspond to "back" button in MP.

I have been into the "Hauppauge HCW" .xml file located in user>app data>mediaportal etc etc and deleted all references to the 34 and 21 button remotes.
It didn't fix it.

I went to MP config>remote>hauppage remote>learn and I went through each of the buttons on the hauppage remote, pressing the corresponding button (all were programed in correctly anyway but thought i'd give it a try) and applied.
Back in MP and the problem still persisted :(

So I went back to learn and pressed the offending buttons on my TV and A/V remotes and saw they MP mapped both buttons to a "code=0".
Funny as they both cause different actions in mediaportal, pause and back as described earlier.

Any ideas what I can do to get MP to ignore these commands from other remotes ???????
