Hello dear MP2 community,

I just tried out to edit my shares on my MP2 installation but I didn't find a way to connect to a network share by typing in an IP-address. Am I just to dumb to find that setting?

And as that question is somehow related: will there never be a tool to configure MP2 and MP2-server?

Thank you!

I understood this is done from within MP - over Settings you can do all things you need to do.

I try to connect to an Network Share with in the GUI, but MP2 cant find the Computer (Windows Server 8), and thre is no way to search manualy.
I switched back to Windows, and Windows find the Computer immediately.

I had the same problems. You can map the network drive to a drive letters first in Windows 7 and then it will show up under local shares in MP2. Alternatively at the moment you can have the MP2 server running at that network location. You should then be able to set up as global shares.

But it is only possibly to access computer being part of a windows network community, right? No way to access a NAS not running windows?
OK, the possibility of setting to a drive letter will probably work, thanks for that hint!

My NAS box was mapped by MP2 without problem. I do have the NAS mounted as drives AS well, that could be the reason it worked, but the share mapping (client & server same box) is definitely as a networked device and not a mapped drive.
