As i promised some time ago.

We all know that interlaced VC-1 and DXVA was a NO go with either MPC-HC or MP.

Well after a lot of tweaking and testing i think i got a working solution.

Disclaimer: This is what is working for me and it might not work for everyone. I am using windows XP SP3 and VMR9.

    Things you will need:

    1. Cyberlink decoder ver. 1.0.0.1105
    2. Gabest MpegSplitter ver. 1.3.1731.0

I would suggest removing Haali splitter and any other DXVA video decoder.

Install the Cyberlink decoder and register the Gabest splitter then use MONOGRAM graph studio (or any other tool of your choice that is able to change DS filter merits) and change the merit of WMVideo Decoder DMO to "(MERIT_DO_NOT_USE)" and reboot your system.

After that is done configure MP and set Cyberlink decoder for H.264 you can as well use it for SD and for both TV and Videos.

Launch MP and play an interlaced VC-1.

What will work with this setup:

    Container Type .M2TS

    VC-1 1080P YES
    VC-1 1080I YES
    H.264 1080P YES
    H.264 1080I YES
    MPEG2 1080P/I YES

    Container Type .MKV

    VC-1 1080P ???
    VC-1 1080I ???
    H.264 1080P ???
    H.264 1080I ???
    MPEG2 1080P/I ???

I don't have any interlaced VC-1 in an MKV container so i am not able to test it. If you have such files don't forget that you will need Gabest Matroska Splitter.

    Enjoy:)

P.S. With this setup you will not be able to play interlaced VC-1 over MPC-HC. There is a way around to make MPC-HC to work with this setup and i will provide information if needed.

Yes, this is what was working for me but only inside graphstudio. I just could not make it to MP.

But now, that I choosed cyberlink as for H.264 decoder inside MP, my VC-1 content inside .m2ts started to work without shutter.

I didn't had to do anything with MS DMO decoder, because SAF alredy switched it off.

    Google for HD Pack 2.3

It is a codec pack that has the PDVD version you need, during installation only select the PDVD codec and deselect all the rest codecs.
