I have a Fileserver with 1tb of dedicated DVD share(s) not all dvd's play as smooth as wanted, with big inregualarity the dvd playback somethimes stops and resumes playback, I have defragmented the fileserver, looked at NIC settings CPU and Disk I/O network I/O all ar within reasonable limits. I ruled out MP because powerDvD has the same problems (even worse sometimes)
The problems started I think either after
- a windows update
- the replacement of a 500GB HD to a 1TB hd
But it might also be a router (speedtouch 780) although i find it hard to believe it's the router because nothing has changed with it. (MP --> router --> gigabit switch --> fileserver)
reason I reinstalled the machine sp2 or sp3 has no affect cost me a good 4 days to test that all drivers ar the latest i could find.
I'ts a annoying problem I am lost about how to solve the problem anyone has a idea howto attach and solve this problem ?
