Internet TV stream via MyTV (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Have been using MediaPortla for a while and think it's great, but because I'm a chepaskate, I don't have TV - no licence, no arial or dish or tuner card etc, so I get news and TV content via the internet - it's not so great as regular TV but at least I can pick & choose! My TV content is setup via MyRadio and I manually add a comment to each station entry to indicate that it is VIDEO content.

My Question:

Can the MyTV component be modified to allow Internet TV streams via the MyTV component/plugin and if so can the stream be recorded also - if not, wouldn't that be a great idea? Alternatively could someone create a plugin just for streamed internet TV with a record feature - my NON-TECH wife doesn't understand why she has to use the radio to get internet TV. Also is there a way to get Quick time based internet streams to work in MP?

Frodo is working on a new tv-engine, and this (might) be able to pick up internet streams. This feature has been requested lots and lots on different topics the last few weeks.. check out "things to do with the new tv-engine"-topic. Or wait a few months for a beta of the engine..
