Hello All,

I´m new here and I hope to learn a lot from you guys.

I have resently build my HTPC and installed Media Portal after a very quick try out with windows media center. Don´t like media center nothing. One´s I installed media portal I had inmediatly a WWOOWW effect. Like a lot.

But I directly have a problem. When I´m reproducing a DVD or a Video TS file with DTS sound it all begins to stutter and the sound isn´t syncronized. Ones I disable the DTS mode in SAF5 then it all goes smoothly but only in Dolby Digital.

Where can I found this problem?

Hope some one can help me out!

Thanks

Hi !

Thanks for your reply. The problem is with any media reproduced on DTS, even in de DVD rom drive. When I unmark the DTS option in Saf5 it works well but on Dolby Digital only, No DTS.

Mmhh, lots of problems with the latest media portal 1.1.12 installed on windows 7 Home Premium with all updates up to date.

- When I start the media portal configuration tool it always first comes up with a warning message telleing me that my platform is not supported by the media portal team because it lacks critical hotfixes! (Please visit our requierments page) ?????? When I then visit this page everything they requier is just fine on my system. Don´t understand.

- No way to get the remote control working properly. Tried fisrt with the microsoft mce remote and it works half. It keeps skipping each time a movie or music album or in the home menu....etc Always skipping one file. Looked on hudreds of forums and threads but can´t find solution. Another multi media remote from a asus mainboard won´t get to work at all.

I really want to get it all working because I Like media portal a lot but hell what a lot of issues to be fixed.....

Hope someone can help me out a little bit.

My case is the Origen X15E.

thanks all

Hi Satbakker, I don't think i will be able to help you with your problems but i might be able to help you get helped. First read the "How to start a support or bug report thread" at the bottom of this post, these folks will have a hard time helping you without system spec's and logs and the "How to start a support or bug report thread" will tell you how to make logs and post your spec's.

For the DTS studering problem you should post here: Codecs, External Players - MediaPortal Forum

For the configuration issiue post here: Installation, configuration support - MediaPortal Forum

For the remote issue post here: Remotes - MediaPortal Forum

How to start a support or bug report thread:

1. Choose a meaningful title for your thread.
2. Report only one problem per thread.
3. At the moment you start a new thread in the support forums, the hardware specification template will be added automatically.
If the template is empty, then you have not filled out your specifications in the usercp yet.
Note: Your report MUST include a complete hardware specification!
4. Add a detailed, step by step description of your problem.
5. [new in 1.1.0 RC3] To create clean and conclusive logs you only have to: (related wiki article)
1. use the "MediaPortal Debug" shortcut from your Windows Start Menu (Team MediaPortal/MediaPortal).
2. Inside the new window which will then open, select the first option "Report a bug to Team MediaPortal", which will start MediaPortal in a special debug mode, using the default skin and distributed plugins only.
3. Reproduce the issue and close MediaPortal afterwards.
4. A MediaPortalLogs_<Date>_<Time>.zip file will be automatically created.
5. Please attach it to your thread/post.
Without logs it is IMPOSSIBLE for us to help you!
6. Do NOT copy/paste your log files (or large parts of them) in your post.

Please note that support and bug report threads, which are missing the required information posted above will not be processed and may also be deleted.

You might want to put your system specs on your account too - it will help diagnose any errors
In the user control panel (the user cp link at the top left of this forum) enter your system specs under the 'Edit System Specification' bit

    Oh and welcome :D
This will soon take over your life - warn your family ;)

    Hi SpudR,

    Thanks for your reply!

Yes, that´s something I can do, will specify my system in my profile.

Yeaahhh, my wife is already sad with me and my son is asking when will it be working pppffff..... Spent a lot of time in it already, the best time is at night when everybody is sleeping :)

(The DTS problem is solved but lot of questions still there)
