Invoke "action" when recording starts/stops (1 Viewer)

Hi

is there a way to trigger some kind of action like calling a URL or start a script when the TV server start/ends a recording?

I tried the eventtrigger plugin but this only work on the frontend which is not the way I want it to work.

Background: I just got my shiny new blink(1) and I want it to turn red when the server is recording.

The Comskip Launcher can run an executable when a recording starts or ends, but unfortunately not at both occasions.

Another option is to install ARGUS TV which can have several Processing Commands attached to each recording. You could even let it blink only for certain schedules or channels if you wish However ARGUS TV is mean for so much more so it might be a bit overkill just to enhance the Comskip Launcher

Maybe I should just write a litte plugin which just executes commands on recording events.
