    Hello,

I am watching the optical fibre network spreading near my place, and those who are getting it won't get the copper cable network anymore. I am happy with DVB-C, but my neighbours are bound to watch IP-TV from their provider, and there is no good STB for that. Of course they could have DVB-T or -S, but what's the point of the optical fibre network then ? It should distribute loads of HD channels in the future, on a 100 Mbps internet connection...

2 STB's are available, with SCART-out only (no HDMI), and no recording functions. I have stumbled upon Microsoft Mediaroom, that apparently supports IP-TV, and since there seems to be even a demo version, maybe I'll point them in that direction.

What about IP-TV in Mediaportal ?

Not "officially" supported, and probably never will be in MP1.
There is a plugin for it made by RUS24. I'll dig the thread up for you later if you don't find it. (No time now).

PS: I have IPTV via optical fiber myself. Using a Motorola VIP-1960 (I think), which have PVR and HDMI. But it sucks, so I'm gonna return it.

I can help with IPTV support

    Hi all,

I am experienced programmer and have IPTV service at home accessible from PC. I can and want help with developing true IPTV support to TVServer. Is there some good documentation to follow? I will start to study the code this weekend, I am interested especially in the way DVB hardware is handled and supported.

Is there some tv server developer that is able to answer my possible questions?

    Thank's :)

    Michal
