MP 1.1.RC1.
If I connect PC directly to provider's network, I can use a playlist with lines like:
udp://@234.5.2.1:20000
When I place a router (ASUS WL500W, "Oleg" firmware) between the PC and network, I must use another playlist.
My router has local address 192.168.0.1 (and my PC has 192.168.0.2).
VLC works OK.
How shall I change my playlist?
Update:
There is no need to change playlist since I switched on "Enable multicast routing" in router.
But I found one more thing.
The router provides UDP-to-HTTP proxy via port 3003.
Actually, http access is better than udp because of smaller traffic in home network.
So, how shall I change my playlist to use http access?
BTW, Windows Media Player now can accept two possible URLs:
via http: http://192.168.0.1:3003/udp/234.5.2.1:20000
via udp: udp://@234.5.2.1:20000
I heard that standard MPIPTVSource.ax cannot use hhtp-to-udp proxy...
Also I heard that there is a patched MPIPTVSource.ax which can do it.
