Hey everybody!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but i figured since i couldn't figure out where to put it, i'm probably a newbie and thus my post belongs here?
Anyways this is my problem... I run Media Portal, which i love and it's working great with a DVB-T signal. My tuner card is supposed to be able to grab analoge signal as well as DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T. Now i finally got more channels though fiber connection. They installed this settop box which they fed with a standart ethernet cable. The out of this box seems to be alalogue which suck since i want to use MP to change channels, record, timeshift, access the EPG etc. Aparently this setup is an IPTV setup - so the settop boks is getting an IPTV signal and transforms it to analog signal - actually there is a HDMI signal out as well - that i'm supposed to feed my tv with.
Anyone knows if i can somehow connect the signal to MP and use that to controll that feed?
Does it take a different settop box or perhaps i can just plug in the cable to my computer and somehow 'software' transform it to something MP gets?
Please help - i need my timeshift/record back!
