IR blaster works during STB setup but not preview (1 Viewer)

hi - this is probably the only thing that is preventing me from saying my MP install is a success.

If anyone can help me - i'd greatly appreciate it.
i have th HP MCE IR blaster.
I have a cablevision/scientific atlanta 4250 stb, but chose the scientic atlanta 8300 stb since a configuration exists.
I went into the STB setup in "tv3 blaster plugin for ir server," set it up using the 8300 config for both the digial and analog tuners.

i ran a few tests, and was able to change the channels on the STb.

i have the stb connected in as s-video into the tuner card.
I've setup a channel, when I preview it, i get the audio and video of a previous channel. however, when i change the channel using the from the stb setup, then i am able to see the channel that i wanted.

so basically, preview is not changing the channel. but it looks like stb is setup properly since the test works...Is there something else that I am suppose to do.

i got this fixed.. all i had to do was restart the TVSsevice service.. after doing this, i can actually see the IR blaster change the channel in the preview screen.

MP is an awesome product..

I still need to get a hang of the keyboard shortcuts and get remotes working on the clients...
Configure IMDB (but I'd like to use one database so that I dont have to configure this on each client- just install the plugin).
Get channel logos...

Need help getting ir blaster working again.

all,

i had to uninstall and re-install MP. now, i can't get the blaster to work. I installed IR server and have it setup to the same scientific atlanta STB.

The MCE is detected by IR servers suite for input and output but it is not working. I don't see the commands going out to the bean bag b/c I don't see any red lights hitting the STB.

i' pretty sure I fogot to do something. Someone had written a doc with step by step instructions on how to configure the blaster. I used this last time to configure my blaster but i can't seem to find the doc now..

Any help is greatly appreciated.

i was not able to get my HP MCE Receiver/Blaster to work with IRSS.
It worked fine with the inbuilt MCE remote support within mediaportal, and worked with LMREMOTE, but didn't work with IRSS.

I'll try to teach the in-built plugin to test the MCE blaster.

I'll find the link and post... but i think the issue has to do with the version numbers of MP and IRSS. I think I need to do a reinstall.

After a reboot ,it is working now.

i thought I did many reboot w/ no avail but last night, it worked from the preview as well as from the TV Guide - i can change channels.
