I have an eHome Infrared Receiver w/ Blaster (MCE Remote) and it refuses to learn any IR commands. I'm wondering if anyone has the .ir files (or knows where I could get them) for the Comcast STB I have, it's the RNG-150.

If you do, I'd be eternally grateful.

Please post logs so that we can try to understand why it refuses to learn codes.

Simone

Sorry, I'm new to the whole IRSS thing (and to the forum, lol).

Alright, this is what I have for the IR File Tool when I attempt to Learn IR a few times:

Also, I believe the problem is not with my IR receiver. Every button on my MCE remote works with MediaPortal and, when I learned over the MCE remote's signals onto a universal remote, that worked as well. In addition, my receiver has a signal indicator light which has been working correctly.

Oh, and I'm running Windows XP.

Let me know if there are any other logs or info I should post.

Unfortunately, not all MCE receivers support learning, especially cheap ones.
Looks like this linked with ability to blast codes.
I personally own two receiver. One, from e-bay is HP receiver and support blasting and learning. Second, from Compro K200 kit does not support blasting and learning.
If you have technical skill you can open receiver case and look at board - for learning receiver should have two optical sensors. One for regular command receiving and second for learning.
If this can help, i can post photo of my receivers boards tomorrow.
