I am trying to get IR blasting work with my Directv STB. I am using IR server suite 1.0.4.2 preview 7 for this. When I start the IR file tool and connect and click learn I get a bunch of hex codes in the window. When clicking the "attempt decode" button I get the following dialog

Protocol: Unknown
Code: 81992931

then it says

Protocol: NEC
Code: 12320

and then

Use this protocol's carrier frequency (38000) ?

After clicking OK I click blast to test the command, I see the red light blinking at the end of blaster(that is stuck to STB) but nothing happens on STB. I have tried this with different command but end result seems to be the same. any ideas ?

Thanks

It seems that the learned code is not being recognised by the STB, can you try one of the presets? You can find the ir files in the All Users\Application Data\IR Server Suite\Set Top Boxes folder.

If the presets don't work either then it could be a ir emitter placement issue. Or it might be a blasting problem with your hardware.

Can you send me the MicrosoftMceTransceiver_Driver log file?

    Cheers,

Aaron I tried some of the other Directv STB presets and tried test but none of them worked. Where can I find this log ?

All the IR Server Suite log files can be accessed from the start menu, programs, IR Server Suite, logs.

    Logs

Aaron Sorry for the very late response. My network connection was acting up. Was able to get it right only just now. I have attached all the IR server suite logs.

Have you run the ehome driver update rollup?

I notice your device's firmware version is different to mine.

Other than that the logs look mostly normal (nothing stands out).
