Ir Server and Suite igorUSB plugin (1 Viewer)

I got the ir server suite running with my serial port remote. (1.4.2.prev 7 thanks and-81 !). But since I tend always to "experiment" i build myself an igorPlugUSB.

The IgorPlugUSBdemo found the remote (displays the block diagram) and girder was able to detect and use it as well.

But for some reason, the ir server suite cannot find it. In the "Input service configuration" i selected igorplug and pressed detect. Nothing happend. When i selected the selection box manually and pressed ok, the "translator" did not respond to a remote button pressed.

Is there anything i need to change to get it working?

I don't have an IgorPlug so I'm not sure I ever got it working 100%

can you post your input service.log?

Also, Can you try the attached debug program ... it is a console application version of the IgorPlug plugin.

I'd be interested too see what it comes up with.

Thanks for the advice.
I attached the input service log.
When I run the IgorPlug Receiver.exe it displays a cmd window (dos box) with a message to press a butten. Just a split second later I get a error message to tell it crashed.

I am running windows Xp SP2. No special programs running at the time (see screenshot)

Can you disable the input service and try again? You can't have the input service and the test app trying to access the igorplug at the same time.

I tried running the program with:
- unchecking the igor plugin in the input service (and restarting it)
- killing input service with taskmanager (and winlirc too)

both times it gave me the same error.
Is there anything i could change?
I'll have a look if i can try it on an different pc tonight. I'll keep you updated

Make sure nothing that could be using the device is running when you run the test app.

Does anyone know where I could get an IgorPlug in Australia?

EDIT: I've found a site that says it ships internationally and costs $38 US. That's a bit much when you consider the cost of an MCE remote which comes with a receiver and blasters. But if someone wants to buy one for me I'll give you my shipping address
