IRSS application shuts down if MP is closed (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Does anyone know why IRSS (latest beta version) shuts itself down (i.e. the green application icon in the taskbar goes grey) when MP is shut? MP minimised works ok, but as soon as you close the program it stops the application so you have to re-enable before you load MP back up.

I use an Antec Remote Fusion Max as my case so it has iMon installed (program not running though).

Any help would be good to understand this little annoyance.

Hi there,

As no one has answered I thought I had better further explain in case I wasn't clear the first time!

IRSS will run fine in application mode (i.e. the icon turns green) on bootup from a complete shutdown. However, if the HTPC is put to sleep it doesn't seem to want to re-enable the application mode (i.e. the icon remains grey) and I have to go in to the configuration menu and start the application mode again. Then it will work fine.

Another issue is that on pressing 'ok' in the configuration menu asks if I want to restart IRSS. Selecting 'Yes' causes the program to hang briefly before shutting down IRSS (leaving the icon in the taskbar grey) but doesn't restart or turn the icon green. I then have to load the configuration program up, select start application and then press 'ok' but select cancel instead of yes on the prompt for a restart. This is the only way to activate application mode.

I'm using a windows 7 Home x86 HTPC with 4GB Ram and IRSS set for application, not service due to the iMon device being installed.

It's getting all annoying now as the gf is starting to complain that the remote doesn't work!

Same here.After pc wake up, IRSS icon is grey and need to restart manually.Win7 32.

Hmm i never recognized this behaviour on my htpc.
You can try to use the "event mapper" inside the MP Control Plugin to start the "IR Server.exe" which is located inside the IRSS Installation folder.
Just add an Event "PC Resume" and execute the "ir server.exe".
