IRSS on MP 1.2 beta (1 Viewer)

Binaries removed as the new release makes this obsolete

Various users experienced problems with IRSS on the new 1.2.0 beta release of MP.

I have sent a message to devs for assistance. In the mean time, do one or both of the following workarounds depending on your requirements.

You should have the following installed before continuing:
IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.4186 - added 2011-04-30. If you have a build after 2011-04-30, there should be no need for this.

1. Blasting using tv3blaster component does not work/missing
stop your tvservice
close tvserver configuration (if still open)
put these files in your tvserver plugin directory (example C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\Plugins)
start tvservice



2. Controlling MP with mpcontrol plugin does not work/missing
close MP
put these files in your mp process plugin folder (example C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\process)


It might be required to restart IRSS afterwards, not sure. A total PC restart can't do harm to ensure everything starts fresh.
I will unstick and close this thread as soon as the proper install file is available.

AW: IRSS on MP 1.2 beta

i tried this version but without success, today i installed the latest version 4189 (update from 1.4.2.4068) but my remote Technotrend S-2400 doesnt work anymore with this version

Your system specs states that you are using MP 1.1.3. Then you should not use this version.

And please open a new thread with full logs please.

Just wanted to quickly add my $0.02. this has been working for me since yesterday.

I'd like to offer a HUGE THANK YOU to any and all devs who put their time into this project, both IRSS and MP as a whole.

(I'd still like to know how to compile this on my own if anyone has the time or inclination )

I don't know why but ... Mediaportal does'nt receive the commands. I have to say it is a fresh install of Mediaportal 1.2 Beta on Win 7 64bits, and the remote is an iMON + Thermatake Ipad remote.

Running the IRSS debug tool, I see the IR commands received, but when I start Mediaportal, nothing in MP, and even in the debug tool, nothing is seen!

Do someone have some tricks or configs for me? In Win 7 64, in MP or in IRSS???
