IRSS 1.4.2 RC1 installed onto a Vista Home Premium 64 machine caused it to stop booting. Hangs at black screen with moveable white cursor after green progress bar.

Finally, figured out it was the SPTD driver (version 1.56) included with Daemon Tools Pro.

Can provide developers with any information that I can to help

I am going to try 1.0.4.1 for laughs and attempt to work out the squabble between the two apps now that I know they are conflicting. I thought I'd open it up to the community to see if anyone has any thoughts?

1.0.4.1 did not help. In fact, even after uninstalling 1.0.4.1, the machine still would not boot. Finally, I reinstalled 1.4.2 over 1.0.4.1, uninstalled 1.4.2, my eHome driver and I could boot again.

I'm afraid I have to give up on IR-Suite, which is very unfortunate as I think it suits my setup perfectly. Unfortunately, giving up on sptd.sys is not an option :(

On a related note, does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement that will work under Vista 64? This seems pretty hard to come by. To date, I have tried IRSS, HIP and for laughs the MCE Replacement driver and haven't had any luck. Next up is Girder...
