Is it possible for me to change the skin-id? (2 Viewers)

I'm trying to make MP open MovingPictures when I press MyVideos on my remote, I have tried using the Shortcut-tool, but can't get it to work, and as far as I can understand MP uses the skin-id to open the various plugins.

So is it possible for me to go into the plugins xml and change the skin-id? Is this more then one line? How can I do this?

A better option would be to disable my videos in MP Configuration, and rename Moving Pictures to My Videos in the Moving Pictures configuration, in the settings tab. (after making sure that moving pictures is enabled of course)

Will this make MediaPortal launch MovingPictures if I press the MyVideos button?

ID 96742 works fine for me with Shortcuter.

It works on one of me HTPCs where I have Imon and use their software to execute the commands, but it will not work on the computer with the MCE remote and IR Server Suite.

It will take away the original myvideos and replace it with moving pics. So effectively your home screen will say My Videos and clicking it will open moving pics

Yes, but that is not what I am searching for I want it to launch Moving Pictures when I press the My Videos button on my remote, sorry I see now that I haven't mentioned the remote at all in the OP.

Ok well I dont know if it will work still... But yeah the only thing you need to change is the ID at the top of movingpictures.xml which is currently (?) 96742(?) to whatever my videos is...

Worst you can do is try and have to change it back

That will not work. The plug-in is tied to the skin file by the ID number so it can not be changed.

I was thinking about making the same adjustments, pressing videos on my remote would take me to movingpictures. I'm more thinking about remapping the button on my remote than adjusting things in skins.
Haven't really explored the possibilities yet though.
