I would like to have MP windowed on my main (primary) display and fullscreen on my TV. I have had it like this before with the latest CVS, just a few builds ago. But now, for the life of me, I cannot get it to happen.

I have an nVidia 6800GT with latest drivers on XP using Dual View and nVidia's "Full Screen From Overlay" option turned off. Is this possuble? If I did enable nVidia's FS from Overlay option, is there a way to have MP print EVERYTHING (including the menus) to the overlay buffer?

This way I can control MP from the desktop with the mouse and on the TV from across the room with the remote.

thanks in advance
and thanks for MP

I think the removal of VMR7 (Overlay) causes this option not to work anymore. If you really want to use this, your best bet is to stick with 0.2.0.0 RC2.

    Kind regards,

I just switched back to just regular RC2 and i still cant get this to happen. Dont know what Im doing wrong. I'm not sure what settings need to teaked to make this work. I tried messing around with all the video settings and decoders and so forth.

Anyone know what the 'Change device' menu in MP main screen is for? Like, I only have one video card, when I open the 'Change Device' window I have 2 identical entries in the 'Display Adapter' drop down menu. What is the function of this?

The simple question, can MP(including menus and all) be printed to the video overlay buffer with ANY release? I know its possible because i've had it doing it before. I just don't remember how.

I remember the first time I installed RC2 without any CVS's it was windowed on my lcd and fullscreen on my TV with default settings.

    thanks
