Hi

could you guys tell me if it's possible to use mediaportal on my desktop computer and connect via hdmi to my 82 cm lcd to watch some movies? I have a Sapphire HD4650
And since i have Logitech Z-5500, i want to send the sound to the decoder insted of using the sound that comes in via hdmi. How can i do that?

yes of course, that's the main idea of mp.
if you want to use a second monitor, you can tell mp on which screen to start:MediaPortal/Configuration/General - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

you can select your audio renderer in mp-config. use s/pdif and it will work fine.
