Is MediaPortal as customizeable as Meedio was? (1 Viewer)

I'm sure the answer is "yes", but I wonder if it is as customizable in all the same ways.

I was a huge Meedio entusiast, and still I use it on my HTPC. Here is how my setup looks now:

My Menus go:

* Pictures

* Music
|__ Library
|__ CD Player
|__ Now Playing

* Videos
|__ Library
|__ DVD Player
|__ Television

* Games
|__ SNES (Filelauncher)
|__ NES (etc.)

* Settings

Is this menu-structuring avalible in MediaPortal? Although MP looks very customizable, I didn't see any way that, for example, I could make a bunch of groups in the root menu with options like "CD Player" and "Music Library" in them.

What say you, MP experts?

Well I've been playing with it a lot since I made that first most, and as you appear to be one of the developers I have to say I'm really impressed at how far your software has come since some of the earlier builds. It's very smooth and easy to use.

I don't know if your development model will allow for the user to customize the hierarchy in the future, but in either case, keep up the great work!

In the future such will be possible, I'm pretty sure. There's just nobody who can tell you when this will be.

Thanks a lot for the flowers, in the name of the whole team. ;)

    is is possible if you use the basichome screen.
    but you have to make the xml yourself.

    there is currently no other way.
