My parents are thinking about switching to digital tv, and they need a decoder. I've been using MP for over a year now, but I don't really use the build in tv a lot. So I've got some question for the users and developers.

    1. How stable is the TV-server? Would you let your parents use it while you're 100km away and you don't want to be bothered with technical questions?
    2. There are going to be 3 tuners in the server, are all 3 of them configurable from one client? (eg 2 are used for recording, one for watching tv)
    3. Does the TV-server auto-detect the # of tuners? From time to time one will be removed for use in the motorhome.
    4. What are the system requirements for the client? Can it be passively cooled?

(btw, bomma proof == grandmother proof :D)

I don't use the tvserver, im still inbuilt but i'v had my parents on the media center for months now.
a small lesson into using the new remote control but apart from that they have gotten used to it quite well.
they love the EPG and ability to just, click record and have it do it. wonderfull

I hope you know that the only digital TV you can use with MP in Belgium is TVV (TvVlaanderen) which is Satellite (DVB-S). So no Telenet/Belgacom!
