i just installed mediaportal and i cant figure it out. i added a movie and music folder in configuration mode but it doesnt see them. for music it recognizes one cd only. when i click music then mediamonkey (my player of choice). it automatically goes to that cd. also there is no artwork or info even though im connected to the internet.

so what im asking is help on those issues and if there is a step by step guide for setting this up?

Hi there,

I believe you need to install all the codecs for audio and video, afterwards you can play musics and videos accordingly. The sites has all the info about it posted.

Do they show up in windows media player 11 ok.

Wonder if the file types are tied in some way to MediaMonkey.

If you go to MP config\music\database, select the options you want and then scan for files, does it find them.
