Is WinTv-HVR-950 working under MP? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys

I like to order WinTv-HVR-950
Hauppauge Computer Works : WinTV-HVR-950

Can any one tell if its working under MP? Its not under the supported hw & I cant find any post saying its woking.

If yes please give some tip's of how to use/install it

If not is there any uthere USB stick I can get (I need it to be able to work with PAL)

Tv Cards Supported

In general the tvserver supports

1. any DVB/ATSC card which has BDA drivers
2. any analog card with h/w encoding onboard
3. some analog cards which use s/w encoding
4. the SkyStar-2/Airstar-2/CableStar-2 cards

I got mine working last night. Just installed MP RC1 and it worked.

Did it worked under the older MP V0.2.3.0 or I have to install the new RC1? (I'm using this ver - V0.2.3.0)

Did you try to schedule TV recording based on the TV-guide?

O One more - are you running XP or vista, did you install the included winTv sw or only the drivers?

I was starting a V0.2.3 install when the RC1 version came out so I decided to go with RC1. I haven't tried to schedule anything or work with the TV Guide as I need to set up a Schedules Direct account in the US to get my TV Guide info. I haven't been able to get the over the air EPG to work, and I have two other issues which are more pressing at the moment.

As a side note: I'm using the HVR-950 for OTA Broadcasts and the default decoders would only show content that was broadcasting in HD. SD Broadcasts were playing audio, but not video. I switched to the HCW Decoder (I might be off on the name as I'm at work) and it played everything just fine. I'm having issues with the video not playing for other content (DVD, Xvid, etc) too, so it is probably a bad driver or codec that is messing things up unrelated to the TV card.

Hi bytor - first thx for the help on the wintv 950

I got my wintv, I like to use it with analog PAL. I have issues with MP v0.2.3:
Under WinTV application its working with PAL - I can scan & see all chanels.
But under MP (under add tv card) I can select only - ATSC or NTSC, I did not find any PAL option.

I dont have RC1 installed can you please tell me if you can see any option to scan PAL chaneels.
