Sorry that it took me awhile to reply.
I found a small crappy USB hub in my house and put it's power supply on a 020 minute timer - it kinda solved the problem for a little bit. Since the unit requires an external power supply, it seemed like a cheap approach to the issue.
Kinda late finishing the box, though - it was supposed to be a Mother's day present, but I missed it by afew days. My mum didn't mind too much - it's working pretty good.
I'm actually suprised that MP is suggested to run on Windows SP2 - I've had so many issues getting my school apps working under it that it drove me crazy. In fact, some of the programs my mother needs to run for work won't run under SP2 - 'tiss be the reason why it's running SP1. I designed the whole system so my family could sit on the couch and comfortably watch TV and movies while working on what they need to, instead of running back and forth from the computer and telly.
