i understand, no problem....

if MP work or not Lets give it a shot. for the meantime i'll look for that encoder while waiting..

also if this encoder is installed and still wont work, i guess i'll be force to purchase new tv tuner.. but still i really appriciate your help.

and wala i found this one "ATI AVIVO Universal CODEC v11.6.50527".. hope this works

see ya after work..

i have just found out that in my MP Configuration/codecs and renderer in TV codecs the selections are only decoders no encoders
i've been able to download two different codecs:
1. ATI.AVIVO.Universal.CODEC.v11.6.exe
2. 6-4_encoder_31959.exe

but same error when i click tv on MP "no data found" and "no audio video detected

can i ask for your ati encoders , thats my last resort. please if you dont mind

Have you configured the encoders in the "general" section on the "software encoders" tab? The information there should tell you whether the ATI encoders are installed, and also allow you to use the ATI encoders instead of the Intervideo ones. Just move the ATI ones to the top of each list.

where can i find this software encoders?

I configured "codecs and renderer" in TV codecs tab i can see three types of ATI installed
    1. ATI MPEG decoder
    2. ATI CC Multiplexer
    3. ATI MPEG Multiplexer

i have tried the three but nothing works.

That is MP configuration. You need *TV Server* configuration... ;)

    my bad.,

ok ok. got it. i have update my MP to 1.2 and now i have the software encoder tab.

now were really making a big progress

ok now were really making a progress. It successfully preview with audio and video using ATI MPEG Video Encoder
but the problem now is it freeze when the video pops up. even when i play it on MP nor from the MP client side.
i mean only the video freeze but not the whole system and the audio still plays continuously.

Ahhh, that is good progress. :D
It must have been the encoder. Your CPU should be more than fast enough to do the job. I expect the problem now could be the decoder codecs. TV Server preview uses the codecs with the highest "merit" in the system. It is better to set your preferred codecs in MediaPortal configuration (codecs and renderer->TV codecs -->wiki<--) and do your testing with MediaPortal. Many people recommend using SAF (FFDShow). Cyberlink is also good in my opinion (if you have them)...

    Hi again

The fact that preview works makes it clear that the problem is with codecs. The more codecs and codec packs you install, the worse it is. Can you please post new logs (that will tell me what codecs you've got installed and what your codec settings are).
