Jump to Now Playing Video/ Visualization ? (1 Viewer)

Hi, probably a dumb question, but I can't for the life of me figure out a shortcut on my remote (Basic Microsoft Brand Media Center Remote) that will jump you to the now playing window. I find this especially painful when playing music and I want to jump to the visualizations. I always end up, getting up walking across the room and clicking on the little window with the visualization in it. but having to repeat this every time I change songs is getting old.

Surely there must be some remote shortcut that will jump you back to what is now playing? Or there should AT LEAST be a way to arrow over to the minimized visualization to select it?

That is the function of the teletext buttons, red gives fullscreen video\viz, , green cannot remember, yellow subtitles or in my case sleeptimer, blue switches through the zoom modes in fullscreen video\tv.

a real bummer if you do not have these buttons.

Do I have too old of a remote for media portal?

I also have a Logitech 880, so if someone has the model number for the correct remote, perhaps I can program the 880 to match?

I find the 880 is too complicated for guests to just pickup and start using, but I suppose that between the two I would be ok.

Yep that the US version, America does not have teletext abilities so no coloured buttons needed, but I'm pretty sure the Harmony has these in a sub menu, can that model emulate a MCE remote.

my red button suddenly stopped jumping to now-playing when music is playing. When video is playing it will toggle btwn fullscreen and the media portal interface / last menu, but when music is playing it no longer jumps to the music now playing screen.

Just happened out o teh blue (somewhere in updating to RC5 or RC6) and the latest streamedMP

Any ideas?

Apparently that has been broken since end of 2008, hwarhmann has now fixed, so should be back for 1.1 final.

Would any of these work better than my current remote? I don't really like my 880, its complex for many to learn, I like keep it simple.

I'm kinda bummed that I spent so much on my MCE Microsoft remote, but it is not supported fully by mediaportal, or XBMC.
