I'm having an issue with "MovingPictures", it's downloading two copies of my movie fanart and DVD covers, so when I see the list of my movies I'm seeing two of every movie on my NAS.

Also why does MovingPictures rescan my movie collection every time I jump into the plugin config?

I now have only 3 visble covers, two duplicates.

Will MovingPictures automatically rescan my movie collection?

Do I need to keep the plugin open while it's scans the entire movie collection ?

Can I close it and does it do it in the background?

I'm running 1.3 beta, should I switch to 1.2?

As an FYI, I have all my movies ripped as avi's and all are located in the same folder.

Go into MP config (not MP main program) and go down to select the plugin section. Right click on the movingpictures icon and click configuration. Have a look in the movies list on the left hand tab. Are they listed twice in there? If so, clear the list and get moving pictures to rescan your drive. Check the drive letters being scanned are correct. IN the movie importer tab you can see any movies which are waiting for your authorisation to check the matched search is correct. This happens when more than one close match is found. Either approve the closest match, or change the movie match it has found.

Moving pictures scans when you run Mp or enter the moving pictures plugin section in config. If you've added new movies just give it a few seconds and it will download the movie info based on filename and add it to your collection :0) I don't think it does any scans without MP running (unless you have plugin config open as above)

I hope you guys don't mind me passing my issues here for help.

I have kids ripped movies and non-kids movies in separate folders on my NAS, I'm using the bulletin video scrapper as opposed to moving pictures and am getting mixed results, its only finding 60% of the album art ( moving pictures finds %100) also, when switching between the collections, there is a wait of 30 seconds.

Is this normal? Is everyone using moving pictures ?

Music cover art, I'm missing 20/30%, any way to improve this ?

Deleting a movie via MP file menu option takes 30 seconds. Again is this normal?

Even though moving pictures + my videos both support this method, it is a bad habit. There are lots of automated tools that will let you put each movie into it's own folder, I recommend the following filename format.

    \%movie.title% (%year%)\Filename.ext
eg. D:\Movies\Lord of The Rings (2003)\Lord_of_the_Rings_Return_of_the_King_Ext_2003_1080p_BluRay_QEBS5_AAC51_PS3_MP4-FASM.mp4

You will find that lots of different HTPC software prefers the above format, so it might be better to change your collection now before it grows.[DOUBLEPOST=1370556094][/DOUBLEPOST]^ That post is so old dadeo
