key mapping (1 Viewer)

hi all, how do i map a key? i've tried pressing the key on the keyboard "d" but the plugin does not register the key stroke. i also tried the ascii key code of "100" but again nothing. it also only seems to accept numbers in the key dialogue box. please can somebody help as im sure this is a daft question.
nb, i'm trying to re-map the "mce remote" "volume -" key.

It's been a while since I fiddled, but I think in the config somewhere there's a "respond to keyboard" check box that's not ticked by default - try that?
