I agree that shorcuts are a good start, but I think we should think even further than shortcuts to a module. My little son loves his films, but cant navigate in MP. If he could start a film (or a song, or a TV channel..) just by pressing a buttun, he could use it without help.
If the various items could be accessed by an index-number, ie Ctrl-T 4 for TV channel 4, Ctrl-M 32 for movie 32, the rest could be done with Girder. Ctrl-0 to 9 could be reserved for assigning specific index-numbers. Then we would have 10 presets without Girder.
mpod what's the status of this patch. One sourceforce you write it's outdated , but I do not think it's implemented in version 0109 already. What is the best way to get this working?
Copy the DLL into your plugins/process-folder, open Configuration.exe, enable the plugin "My Keys". Click on configure to get a list of currently supported keys.
If enabled, this plugin adds some keyboard shortcuts for jumping directly to the following screens:
