Everything was working fine for a few weeks now..

I got a new Adesso WinMCE USB IR remote with ISB IR receiver. It works fine in Win7 but most key didn't work with Mediaportal (pause/play/etc) so I was trying to map keys and test after each change...no luck but the keyboard continued to work throughout the process so I suspect this has nothing to do with it...but worth mentioning.

I had previously added a new tuner (hdhomerun) that defaulted to recording to my C drive and I forgot to update it...so during testing my SSD filled up and mediaportal locked up. Once I discovered the cause and removed the recordings from the C drive and set the recording directory properly to my D drive, I rebooted and ran Mediaportal and my keyboard would not work in Mediaportal...up/down/enter etc... It works fine in windows.

Can anyone help direct me at what I could look for to fix this?

nevermind...I figured it out. In case it helps anyone else though apparently my keymap.xml file was corrupted..

In mediaportal configuration there where no key mappings in General-keys and sounds. Luckily I had a client configured with Mediaportal installed so I found the keymap.xml file from it and copied it to this machine and they keyboard is functioning again...
