Hi all,
I just wanted to drop in and let you know that we just updated KinEmote to support user-definable keymapping so now you can use it with MediaPortal.
Merry Xmas...
Here's the info and download links.
MicroSoft Kinect now controls virtually any Windows app using 'KinEmote'
Saturday Dec 25th 2010 - Maastricht, Netherlands and San Diego, CA
John Simons and Joel Griffin Dodd's 'KinEmote' gets a major update opening up MicroSoft's Kinect to be used with virtually any Windows application.
KinEmote is an easy-to-use, free application that takes gestures captured by the MicroSoft Kinect and translates them into key strokes that any Windows application can recognize. Users can easily map their own keyboard keys to each of the gestures recognized by the KinEmote software.
"The response to the first public beta has been huge," remarked Simons, "we knew we just had to go all out to make KinEmote fully universal so that anyone can use their Kinect with any program they want."
"In the 48 hours since KinEmote's launch we've had over 26,000 views of the demo video and been bombarded with requests, comments, tweets and emails from all over the world." Griffin Dodd explains "We are overwhelmed by the popularity and excitement around KinEmote, so the incentive to provide this next stage of compatibility for the users was huge."
KinEmote Public Beta is available for Windows 32 and 64 bit systems and can be downloaded for free at kinemote - Project Hosting on Google Code
