Problem as following:

I got a new KNC1 TVstation DVB-C Plus and tried the installment as described here. But it didn't work, because Windows did not accept the BDA drivers for Hauppauge Cinergy 1200 DVB, so I thought this might be because it is an other version as the one mentioned in the Wiki so i searched and found at Google a download for the exact version.. but it was for Vista only and brought up the same problem as before. Remember I had no driver installed till now for this TVcard ever.
So I read around some Forums and some told it works for them just with the normal KNC1 BDA-drivers, so I tried. The drivers were accepted, but MediaPortal (new installation after driver installation) couldn't find the card - as described in Wiki. Alright... I tried to deinstall via "System - Hardware" and deleted all "kncbda*.*" files from "C:\Windows\". I restarted and tried the Beta BDA Drivers from Hauppauge Homepage. They got accepted, but the card got directly named as "KNC One DVB-C", strange! There was also a promt during driver installation for a "kncbda32.sys" - which is not inside the Beta BDA Hauppauge packet. That's though all drivers from KNC got deleted...

How can I fix my problem?
It seems like there is a new Hardware Revision to the KNC1 DVB-Cards and some ppl from other forums got the same problems with this new Revisions. Anybody got a solution for this?

Hello WuTang!

I don't have the KNC card, but I'm cosidering buying it.
Did you try the latest BDA drivers (v1.7.4.6.) from the KNC1 homepage?

Please inform me about your progress.

Thank you!

hey thanks for your late answer... i resent the card (had 2 weeks send-back-rights, dunno the right english word for it) because it didn't find any channels.
i found out that after formating my system and setting it up with drivers and co i got the exact same problems - though this time i directly installed the wdm drivers - so my system knew the card and the drivers were accepted.
i didn't try mediaportal again because nobody answered and over at sceneo tvcentral i got quick, helpful replies - so i switched back to them (had it for some years, but they got me to move on because of unclear releaseconditions of tvc3).
though the card is accepted i couldn't find any channels... and i figured out it has to be caused by my service provider... wrote them emails and called hotline but no response yet (about 2 weeks ago). i think it's that i have to pay only to get a signal... but that is really dependent on my country and service provider though.

i have to say that it's quite hard a bit to use the card - together with mediaportal it didn't work - and it seems like there is a new hardware revision, so you can't use the hauppauge drivers. i'd say take the hauppauge cinergy 1200 dvb-c card, because it's said to be the same and this card is fully supported by mediaportal.

Thanks for informing me!

There's coming out a new card from TerraTec, the "TerraTec Cinergy C". It seems to be a successor of the 1200, so I think this should work, too. It also has a remote control included.
I'm now considering buying this new one. Unfortunately it's not available yet.

Schönen Abend noch, lg:D

Good morning everybody!

Just in case anybody is interested: I have the exact same issue here.
I've got the new hardware revision (with the MK3 chip, HardwareID 00231894), and it works quite well with the included WDM drivers and GlobeDigital Viewing Software.

The KNC BDA driver doesn't work for me at all. I can install it without problems, but it can't be detected by any 3rd party software, and not even by KNC's own GlobeDigital software.
(The KNC support told me they can't help me anymore because my mainboard is running on a VIA chipset. Well, anyway, lesson learned)

Using modified TerraTec Cinergy 1200 C drivers i could install the card and make GBPVR and MediaPortal detect it.

So far so good, but that's where the story ends. Scanning doesn't find any channels. Something i will try is to add channels manually in MediaPortal.

Greetings,
jEb

    Hello all,
I have exactly the same problem with the KNC One DVB-C. The exact hardware ID is:
    capturename="KNC BDA DVB-C" devid="ven_1131&dev_7146&subsys_00221894&rev_01

And this version doesn´t work with any Cinergy or Modified Drivers. I already tried to write an entry in
the capturecarddefinitions. But in Graphedit the Filter for capture and tunerdevice shows up the same,
"KNC BDA DVB-C" and I even can´t connect the pins from Microsoft Network Provider and this
    capture/tuner device.

BUT: Mediaportal can do this. It´s connecting Network Provider and Capture Device. In this setup I
can do an autotune -> offcourse without finding any channels because the tunerdevice is missing.

So if there is anybody out there with good ideas, i would do any testing that´s needed.
