Hello again

I received a second reply from KWorld today. They have said that my questions need to be forwarded to their research and development department, and that there will be a charge associated with this. Obviously as an open source project we need to manage the money that we get from donations carefully.

If one of you still has one of these tuners and wants help, please let me know ASAP. Otherwise it is possible that we will not proceed with the support request.

It's an old thread, but ... any news about Kworld's DVB-S? I have that card and maybe can help ( I have no clue about programming, but can maybe test and send logs if it helps).
My setup is: 3 LNB's with DiSeqC switch (signal is OK and switch is working good with set-top box and TVHeadend) and that cursed KWorld PCI DVB-s card. I use MediaPortal server version and I set up LNB-s in MediaPortal settings. Scan gives me no signal from every transponder as was the case by gordy76.
But .. if I started ProgDVB same time and selected some channel (for ex. some channel from HotBird) then MediaPortal scan gives me channels from transponder, that is selected from ProgDVB. If I click same channel more times at ProgDVB, then same transponder is updated every time if MP scans next transponder... if I don't click, then again no signal. It seems like MediaPortal can't power on LNB properly (in my example ProgDVB powers LNB on and selects transponder and MediaPortal sees it and scans channels).

    Hello and welcome tilt :)

No, there is no news. We decided not to ask for KWorld support because nobody responded to my posts (so we had no way to test).

I'd agree - it seems like MP is not able to apply the LNB power with this card.
I have an idea which I'd like to test.
Which version of MP are you using?
Would you be able to provide direct access to your server using TeamViewer?

    Best regards,
    mm

No problem - just let me know when the server is available. :)
In the meantime I will compile some debug DLLs for testing.

Can you send an e-mail to me (tiithe(att)msn.com). I reply then Teamviewer info. I don't want to publish that here. Thanks for effort :)
