What's up guys, I'm looking to get either a laptop or an SFF PC to act as an interface between my plasma upstairs and my hard drive tower downstairs, wireless. At first I was planning on getting a laptop, but a small form pc would be a bit cheaper. They are almost half the price, but would it be a mistake not getting a laptop? I only want it to play music and movies (mp4)... I don't mess with hi-def I don't think its worth it, but it will be otuputting 1080i to my plasma. Would a 2.8 ghz laptop or sff cut it? Would the video card be a major concern? I would rather spend a few extra bucks for smooth performance, but I am also looking discount here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Nick
By the way, my plasma has pretty much any video input (s-video, composite, rca, vga, dvi) ... so should I be concerned about what video out the system supports? (If anyting I could just buy a vga converter right?)
