Larger font skin reqiured (1 Viewer)

I would really be grateful if anyone could direct me to a skin which has 6 lines in the tv guide as my sight is not to good.

I have tried most skins available but can not easily see the tv guide listings.

I have recently changed from Window MCE which was ok.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated except asking me to buy glasses

Thanks for that. sorry downloaded all the extras, just have not got a clue at the moment what to do with them.

Do I just put this file into the skin folder?

open the folder C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin and then open the skin you are using.
Now replace the file mytvguide.xml with the one you have downloaded from link above.

Note: i think that this is for a 4:3 skin only.

I have applied the patch as advised and there is only six bars now.
But unfortunately coming from Microsoft Media Center to MediaPortal the difference is astounding.
Whilst I really enjoy the MediaPortal the TV Guide is very important to me.
The change has increased the info box at the bottom of the screen rather than increasing the size of the channel info bars.

Is there anyway the height of the bars for the channels can be increased to accomodate a larger bolder font.

I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me as I do not wish to go back to MCE.

Greetings Prsettle! Here is my personal modified mytvguide.xml for 16:9 skins. ; 6 lines, bigger fonts & channel logos, diffrent colors for the categories, removed the channel names under the logos and some other minor changes. Give it a try. Cheers.

I forgot to mention that if you use ~6-10lines then there is a lot of room for using larger fonts up to fontsize 14, if you prefer larger fonts >14 then the best solution would be to remove the TV-preview screen and minimize the height of the mini-tv-epg info in the lower end to 2-3 lines so that you could stretch the epg template vertically and use almost the entire screen in order to fit larger fonts than 16-18 and still view ~16channels/lines

PS. Download the process plugin called “MyRefresh.dll”, and edit
mytvguide.xml while you are at the EPG screen, press F5 after each changes, don’t forget to also modify all the .xml files that mytvguide.xml redirects to within the <import>FILENAME.xml</import>, that ofcourse will depend on the skin you are using. GL.
