[no Bug] "Last.fm" and "News" does not work (1 Viewer)

You can also try 'WatchDog.exe' with first option from 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal'

I really dont have idea, what could be wrong. I completly unistalled MP and installed MP 1.7.0 again and the issue is still there.

Let see:
1) File "GUIRSSFeed.dll" is located (size is 93696 Bytes) from installation in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows
2) GUIRSSFeed.dll is defined in "BuiltInPlugins.xml" (but from my research does not matter if the plugin is defined here, it does not have impact to see the plugin in MP Config tool)
3) I dont see RSS News plugin in in MPConfigTool, but it is available in MP/plugins menu

Please find attached logs + printscreens.

Select "switch to expert mode" in the top right hand corner of the config tool. I have a feeling that for some reason the RSS plugin is hidden in standard mode

Thanks, looks like good idea. I started MPConfigTool in standard mode and went to plugins (no RSS News), then I switch to expert mode (right top corner) as you recommed me and it did not help.
BUT!
When I started MPConfigTool directly in expert mode, I can see the RSS News in my plugins. So finnaly I can configure it or disable it.

Thanks a lot. Anyway this kind of behaviour is strange as I was trying it on 2 computers and I had same issue on both (one is running AMD, second one Intel CPU, both are Windows 7).

News: When I start the MPConfigTool in standard mode and before to go to plugins I switch to expert mode (right top corner), and then I go to plugins, I can see also RSS News. On top of this I can see now also other plugins:

• for external players: iTunes, Winamp
• Windows plugins: Topbar, RSS News

All these plugins I did not see before this "workaround". It seems to as a bug, what do you think?

Yep this is strange that those plugins are only available on expert mode (maybe it was on purpose but i don't see why lol)

Looking at the code it's on purpose
In std mode, only show stable plugins (the comment in code)

May be it can be mentioned in the documentation - I would not expected the RSS News in expert mode as it is comming with installation

I am sorry, I am comming back with another small let say cosmetic issue related to this RSS News topic - it happens in case I select Czech language (there is no such issue in case of English or English UK or English US).

When I start MP and I go to plugin -> News (Zpravy in Czech), there is message in the midle of the screen about 1 sec: "Missing or invalid file: C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Titan\dialogProgress.xml. You can see this in attached video (zipped).
Please note the mentioned file (also attached) is available in the path.

This message I can see only when I have Czech langauge and any time when I open RSS News or I change the RSS resource or if I refresh RSS resource. This does not happen when I change language from Czech to English.
