Had to re-install mp. As I am working since last week with it, I am still not settled in.

    Problem:
I stored my videos in seperate subfolder.
When I select My Videos, I see all covers.
Selecting a video did not start the movie but I am directed in a next selection screen (seems like the sub folder)

Unfortunately you see only the back icon, the movie itself is not visible (with an icon) but can be selected.
There is a running circle animation, as it tries to access something buit did not get it.

The database shows only the link directly to the video.
So I am a little puzzled:

    1) shouldn't the video be started directly?
    2) Any idea why there is no icon visible? (I remember vaguely that this was the case in the former install)

Log-File showed an errors for GUI referencing

    Any hints appreciated

Do you have stacked files (i.e. more than two actual files per film "moviename cd1.avi" )?
And more importantly, does the movie playback in Windows without issues?
Finally, have you tried using other skins?

    Hello Emp,

    To your questions:
Some folders have stacked files some not
I have no issues with the playback. Used only zoomplayer, though.
Tried the wide default skin (Blue Two)- Similar issue. - Large Picture correct, but in the selection line there is only the return icon and an empty icon.

P.S. everthing works fine if I am using not the title selections but genre or actors.

I re-installed mp, now I have also the thumbnails in the lower level menues.

Still I have no idea if I experience a bug - or a feature:
When I am in the title view and I select a video a new menu is displayed, showing only the video icon and the return icon. So I have to select the video icon again to play the movie.
Whereas if I select e.g. genre view and I select a video the movie will be played directly.

Is this now an intended feature or a bug? If intended: what is this added value of this extra menu level? If no: any hint for the debuging/getting rid of this additional level?

    Thanks in advance

It's because you have your movies in separate folders. Shares view works like a file explorer and genre view shows the items in the database. The database works like a playlist, so the folder structure isn't visible then.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi empathic.

This is understood, what wonders me is that I have the same behaviour as in the shares view also in the title view.
One would expect to have in title view the same approach as for the genre/year/etc views.

    Cheers
