Hi everyone, I am new here and new to HTPC in general.

I have an intriguing problem. I initially downloaded media portal to mess around with and see if I could get it working. After a little work and reading these forums I finally got everything up and running smooth, full HDTV signal with no skipping, perfectly smooth.

Anyway, after getting it all going I decided to format one of my large disk drives and set it up in a HTPC, well I cannot for the life of me get it working again, I am constantly getting the "cannot create graph" error. Now the intriguing part, I still have the other drive with everything setup and working. If I boot the system from this drive everything runs perfectly as before, but not with the newly installed system. It is the exact same machine.

What I want to know is how can I compare the two to determine the difference and what makes one work and the other not. I have tried simply copying the media portal directory across to the new drive but the TV cannot start and an error about not being able to start a filter.

So what do you guys think I can do to work this problem out?

::::UPDATE::::

I just got the card working by trying something I just read about the DTV1000. I changed this line:

<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod (Philips FMD1216ME)" checkdevice="true"/>

to this:

<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="WinFast DTV2000 H BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod" checkdevice="true"/>

and now it is working. This however is not the reason it was not working but must be related, because in the system that does work this did not need to be changed. So if you are having trouble with this card this is worth trying.
