List all artists from all music folders (1 Viewer)

I think it would be good to view all artists across all music folders.

Just a big list of artists only in alphabetical order of my entire collection regardless of their folders or groups in the configuration setup.

So when I scroll down to artists starting with R and click on "Rank 1".. the next screen shows me every song I have on MP by the artist "Rank 1".. and I can select it without hunting for it through compliation albums.

Making a playlist of all my music doesn't list every artist, it lists every track. It's just noit the same.


I remember my old Linksys wireless B media adapter had this feature and it was excellent to find a song very quickly.

Can be done easily:

Configuration -> Music -> Music Views

1. Select "..new" from the "View" combo box
2. Give it a Name, you like to see in MP
3. Enter following data:
line 1: Selection = Artist, Check "Asc", Sortby "Artist"
line 2: Selection = Title, check "asc", Sortby "Name" or whatever you like
4. Don't forget to SAVE

and now have fun
