A new game comes out which support the new dx10 functions, you get two camps:
- Cool suppport for my new card which is a dx10 videocard!
- Damn it doesn't run fast on my dx9 or lower videocard!

If a game comes out with dx9 features:
- Damn it doens't support dx10, now it is has the same speed/functions as a cheaper/lower spec card
- Cool it still does run nicely on my dx9 videocard

So new technology always comes with a culprit towards the people who just bought the 'old' new technolgy. IMHO: Live with it.

it's NOT our problem.
And we will NOT make it our problem.

We will ALWAYS have the minimum spec of having a DX9 card.
If people do not have this is THEIR fault not ours.

Let's not start a flame war....

MediaPortal is open-source, meaning if I was a halfway decent programmer, I would have already made a different GUI.... Something like Got All Media, but more customizable, or maybe just with the standard Windows interface.

I'm sure there are other programmers out there who can throw together a quick GUI for MP, besides the usual development folks. Hell, it can be in Java.... doesn't really matter.

And if Mario doesn't like it, so what? He doesn't have to use it, and the development team doesn't have to include it in any release. it can be a "side" thing for people with weak PC's.

At any rate, I can't make one, so I'm not complaining. In fact, I've already "solved" this problem by recording from my own PC, which is far better than the one in the living room.
