A new game comes out which support the new dx10 functions, you get two camps:
- Cool suppport for my new card which is a dx10 videocard!
- Damn it doesn't run fast on my dx9 or lower videocard!
If a game comes out with dx9 features:
- Damn it doens't support dx10, now it is has the same speed/functions as a cheaper/lower spec card
- Cool it still does run nicely on my dx9 videocard
So new technology always comes with a culprit towards the people who just bought the 'old' new technolgy. IMHO: Live with it.
