Hi, I got a Harmony One for X-mas and I am currently working on setting it up for my HTPC, as a temporary solution I am using it with the Imon settings since my cabinet has one of those recievers, but I can not seem to get some of the stuff to work some examples are:

- The Shortcut tool that can be used to launch various screens and plug-ins with letters.
- Info-button (right click/i on mce remote)

And I'm reading that the imon tool screws up alot for some people so I am thinking of getting a dongle and using the basic MediaPortal settings, but will any IR-dongle work for this? I have a BT/IR combo atm but it is not supported in Vista so it doesn't work.

Or should I just get one of those Philips remotes and use the MCE settings on my Harmony?

I Have a harmony since 4 weeks and it's doing fine (after some calls to the very good support).

    - The Shortcut tool that can be used to launch various screens and plug-ins with letters.
Shouldn't be a problem! I use it for example for "moving pictures":

1.) Mapped within shotcutter plugin to ","
2.) "," mapped to "movies" Button in Imon software (7.2)
3.) mapped "Red" in harmony configuration to an action/activity

    - Info-button (right click/i on mce remote)
Did work (after some time). Did you try "binary mode" to teached it?

    Greetings

Hmm after a test now it seems as if it's my shortcuter tool that's borked. Becuase it doesn't seem to launch with the keyboard either.

What do you mean with "binary mode"?

I don't know the english terms of the harmony software, but maybe this helps:

    - go to the menue where you can learn/teach (new) signals/functions
    - at the down right corner is a Button somewhat like "Userdefined" (Benutzerdefiniert)
    - than you have a second option to transmit from your original Remote

    Try this!

Is there an info button on the imon remote?

Well, I don't know actually which button (htpc off...), but I think it's the "Y - Show/Hide OSD". Within TV mode it diplays the description of the current programm. I mapped it to "bookmarks" in Imon-Manager and to "Info" in harmony configuration.

Also I have the "right mouse" button on the harmony.

After alot of trying and failing it seems as if the menu(window) opens the menu I'm looking for aswell.

So now it seems to be working pretty well, the only problems I can see atm is that he computer shuts down when I press the "Watch TV" macro. Is there any way to remove that part of the macro? And I have a lot of problems with "double-clicking", that is it seems as if it's sending two signals. If I'm watching full screen TV and press exit (programmed to escape) I end up in the main menu.

And is there a way to create more signals for the remote? I don't seem to have enough for all I want to program :p

Imo Logitech should release their own setup with a reciever and a software (similar to te Imon software)that connects to the same account as you use when you configure the remote. That way you could have 999999 different ir-signals.

    perhaps he means "raw"?

I had all sorts of probs getting my harmony one going. I had a cheap psuedo-MCE remote and was using the IR receiver that came with that. In the end I bought the Hauppage MCE remote (black one, not one that came with a TV card) and set it up in MP and the Logitech software as an MCE remote.

Alternatively, EventGhost may be able to pick up the signals received by your IR-receiver. If so then you could program eventGhost to control MP. In the Logitech software you could setup the remote as an MCE one and then add some additional commands.
