Logitech Harmony setup (1 Viewer)

Hello,

For the use of a remote control I have a Logitech harmony 525. The IR reciever is from my case's iMon device (I own a Antec Veris Black). I'm quite satisfied how everything works, but I can't map the buttons next to the activity screen to a certain action in MP. For instance, I can setup up Subtitles in the activity screen (after I pressed 'Watch DVD'). But I can not get this to work.

Anyone knows where to start?

Hi,

u have a device for your htpc?
In my case i use a XP MCE usb IR-reciever, and added the Microsoft Remote Device in my Harmony Setup.

Now i can add the action to the screen button, name it as i want, and set a remote function from the microsoft device.

Hi,

Yes, I use the iMon IR reciever from my Antec HTPC case. I setup the Antec Case in the Logitech software.
I'll give it a further try later, to check if I can map actions to the Logitech activity buttons.

I also have an imon pad and planning to get the harmony 525 because I really don't like the imon remote.

I've seen there's the possibility in the imon manager to configure to use an MCE remote instead of imon pad. I think that, if you set this option and select microsoft->MCE in the logitech software, you will be able to use the remote as an MCE one. Am I wrong?

Hi Roby,

In the Logitech setup, I setup a media center device, in this case it's my HTPC case (Antec Fusion), so the Logitech software knows I have a Imon IR reciever.
Next, I use Imon to setup a MCE remote, and map the buttons from the Logitech software to MCE buttons. The MCE buttons represent different actions in MediaPortal. I've also read something about a complete replacement for the Imon utilities, IR server suite I believe.
