lost MCE remote keypresses (1 Viewer)

Once in a while (maybe every 20-30 keypresses), a signal from my emulated MCE remote is ignored by MP. I have been seeing this problem off and on with MP since I first started using it (0.2.2, IIRC), but always assumed it was due to other influences (plugins, system parameters, etc.). However, it seems to be worse in my virgin MP 1.0.1 installation than it wsa in MP 1.0.0. Furthermore, I don't remember having any such problems with XP MCE, and a recent experiment with JRiver Media Center (JRMC) also displayed no such problems. Some of the skins which use their own DLLs (e.g. MediaStream, StreamedMP) also seem to behave better in this connection than the standard MP skins. Do others observe this probelm, or is it just me? Any ideas as to potential causes and/or solutions?

I have the same problem. Sometimes the numeric keys do not work. I use an original mce ir receiver and a harmony one remote. MP 1.0 didnt have this problem.

I've got the same problem. Numeric keys suddenly stops working. Everything else works ok. (Harmony one emulating mce remote, but also confirmed with mce remote itself)

i had the same problem, found my love in eventghost and can never live without it..

has profile for mediaportal + hundreds of other appz for you to use your mce remote with

Are you guys using mptray? Maybe the problem can be related to this: MPtray and focus issue. I installed the mod posted there, and I haven't had any problem with loosing numeric keys since then.

This might be relevant for others, but I doubt that it's my problem. I am using the tray application from the IR Server Suite, having previously encountered the focus problems with the older MP tray. Also, the problem is not specific to number keys in my case. I mostly see it with cursor keys and OK/Enter. I seem to have fewer problems with skins having their own DLLs, like Xfactor or Streamed MP than with standard skins like Blue3 wide.
