Hello,

I've just bought a M-Audio 2496. Installed this card and drivers without problems.

Unfortunatly, It doesn't work proprely with MP : I can't manage sound (can't increase/decrease sound). When I check in the windws tray, I see the M-Audio Icon but the global sound management of windows seems dissable.

Does anyone have this sound Card. How did you configure it to work with MP.

Thank you very much

I have also just bought a M-Audio 2496 and have the same problem. I hadn't noticed it until mentioned it. I use my remote control to adjust the volume on my television rather than within the PC.

Are you using the latest drivers 5.10.00.0051?

I don't know wich driver release I have, I 've downloaded it recently on the M-Audio web site. But I'll check it asap.

Now, I adjust volume directly on the amplifier (by hand, because no remote controler on my old NAD...) I cen't do it in an other way.

This sound card is very popular in France that's why I bought it but I didn't know all thoses issues...

I'm trying to find a solution and I'll give you the tip as soon as I find it.

I've regained control of the volume of the M-Audio 2496 working within MP.

1. In M-Audio Delta control Panel on the Patchbay / Router tab in the H/W Out 1/2 select Monitor Mixer.

2. On the Monitor Mixer tab ensure the level of the Mixer Input WavOut 1/2 are set to maximum and the master volume is set to maximum.

3. In the MP Configuration application General > Volume Settings Control choose Wave.

It should now be possible to control the volume from within MP.
