I have lots of glitches/macroblocks while watching Canal+ (scrambled H.264 HD channel on FireDTV) whereas I have no glitches at all on other H.264 HD (TF1 HD free to air) channel on the 2nd tuner (Terratec).
I thought my fireDTV tuner has some issues so I tested Canal+ with fireDTV Viewer and there I have no macroblocks at all. I also tested with my HD STB on the same antenna cable and there is no macroblocks at all. I mapped TF1 HD to the fireDTV tuner and I can play this channel without getting any macroblocks: I think that mediaportal has a problem while playing scrambled Canal+.

I also can tell you that on my previous system (WinXP with 1.1 beta and same tuners), I had no problems at all.

The macroblocks happen even during recording only or timeshifting.

On the logs, you can see many "continuity errors"

Would you please help me to find the issue ?

Higly likely that you have a signal issue.

    Thanks Tourettes,

But then, how do you explain that it doesn't happen on other channels (other frequencies), on my HD STB on the same channel, on the "free" time of Canal+ when it is MPEG2 instead of H.264 HD ? That looks very strange for me. Also on beta1, I did remember that it was working perfectly.

Can you explain me how to enable more logs to see what is happening on this specific channel during the scrambled time ?

    Hi there,

I can confirm that I have the same issue using PowerDVD9. The only H.264 channel with problems is the Canal + HD, all other HD channels work fine.
