Frankly, I am unsure of where to dig. My findings: - Hardware: HD4600, with a smaller monitor as primary screen + FullHD TV as secondary screen - Flickering is only happening on Screen 2. Screen 1 is perfect. - HD4600's handling of the second screen is fishy. If I have MP occupy the whole Screen 2 (in Exclusive mode), and there's another program which underlaps MP's surface, my CPU rises. If such offending program is moved so that it does not occupy any space on Screen 2, then CPU load goes back to normal. - The flickering/stuttering during menu screens only happens when the menu screen is redrawn. When a mostly static screen (like the Main Menu of MP) is shown, flickerng is seldom. When the screen is redrawn often (such as EPG screen), flickering is more frequent. - The flickering actually means that the background of the active skin is drawn first (say, "rainbow" pattern of Titan skin), which is visible in its bareness for a brief moment. At the next screen refresh, the menus are drawn over the background. The quick changing of these two are the cause of the flicker. BTW, to my best knowledge, madVR is not even used during the displaying of such menu screens. Overall, I am getting hesitant to blame madVR for this. The reason I still do is, because it all started when madVR was installed. The very same config ran without a single flicker for many months before.
