Major crawl when any text overlay (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I like MediaCenter, but I suffer from major sowdown, 100% usage etc when there is any text overlay on the TV picture, and sometimes when the image is small.

I have a 2.8GHz Celeron-D, 768MB RAM, Intel 915GL motherboard (using built-in graphics). TV is either Hauppauge Win-TV USB2 (Hardware MPEG) or Asus P7131-Dual (DVB-T = Hardware MPEG stream).

So how do I get acceptable picture ? What to upgrade ? Is it the graphic card ? Or something else ?

I assume you mean MediaPortal..... :?

Could you please use the Support Template. It is possible that your built-in grahics is not adequate - you really need a grahics chip that fully supports DirectX 9 for best performance.

As the video card was my main suspect, I went out and bought an ATI X1300 card, and has had no problems since then.

So it was the video. I have the reporting tool, but it does no say if I run Overlay or VMW9 mode (on any of the cards)
